This was a pretty easy pregnancy, which was great since I had no time for napping or slowing down due to Logan. I had no morning sickness, was not overly tired, had no crazy cravings or aversions (but I did want mexican food a bit more than I normally do), gained a normal amount of weight, no crazy fluid levels, no swollen ankles (until the last day or two and still nothing compared to my ankles with logan), seriously there were days I forgot I was pregnant (except for the giant belly)!! At my 20 week ultrasound we discovered I had placenta previa, which since I already knew I was having another c-section it wasnt a huge deal, but still that can lead to pre-term labor so I came back at 28 weeks and it had cleared. I do think at the end she was facing my back and breech, but again, it didnt matter and I never asked to see if she had adjusted from one of those final appointments when they discovered that. I dint feel her kick like crazy (but they said that was due to her position) but she did move around. Once she came out she kept her legs tucked up for about a month, so she must have been comfy in there ;) I didnt get any official belly shots till the end, but here are some!!
32 weeks (i am on the left, lisa on the left, she was 38 weeks) |
39 weeks, the morning we left for the hospital |
We had to convert the dog room/storage room into her nursery. It took a bit of work to get it cleaned and patched up, but I did it!!! I had all sorts of ideas for colors and stuff but kept changing my mind. Ian and I were out at the outlet mall one day and saw the polar bear rocker at the pottery barn outlet and decided she had to have it, so we got sherpa bear and the room was built around it. She used logan's crib, changing table, and glider and we got the same dresser Logan has. I made some custom art work for above the changing table, Lisa made the window valance and I painted an accent wall in pinl ombre and put up brown glitter letters for her name, just like Logan's. I also put my childhood night light on her dresser with a new shade I made, since I only had the lamp base saved. We also scored a $400 pottery barn rug for $50 off craigslist, which was awesome!!!
I think its perfect for a little girl, don't you agree???
